About Middy & the Crew
Middy, born Middleton Miller Carouthers, is known as The “Modern Cowboy” with his latest LP released in 2022. This singer-songwriter is currently based in Nashville, Tennessee. The journey of Middy began unexpectedly in 2017 when he found himself at Masterfonics Studios with Tommy Dorsey, rather than Vionic Studios, located in the Music Row neighborhood of Nashville. This serendipitous encounter led to a collaboration with the acclaimed musical producer and DJ, Lenny Bertoldo from Warner Brothers Records, along with talented local artists like Smith Curry on pedal steel, a Grand Ole Opry Hall of Fame member, and renowned violinist Lauren Conklin. His track “Pass Me By” features lead guitarist Chris Lueszinger, who has worked with Garth Brooks, and guitarist Adam Shoenfield, known for his work with Tim McGraw. Middy has been recording music since 1986, boasting four completed albums and over 3.5 million views of his music videos on YouTube. The Middy has produced many of his own works and has collaborated with Nashville producers Pat Holt and Fred Vail from Treasure Isle Recorders. When he’s not performing, Middy is busy with The Wrecking Crew, a premier demolition company serving the greater Saint Louis and Nashville areas, which also inspired the name of his band, Middy & the Crew. Middy is recognized as the Godfather of Demo Rock, blending country, classic, and southern rock in a style as unique as the man himself.
